Who am I?
This website – https://www.lesleysmitheringale.com – has been designed by me, Lesley Smitheringale. I’m an Australian illustrator and art teacher. The website has been created to showcase my illustrations and surface patterns which are available for licensing. It’s use is also to facilitate an online shop offering you digital graphic resources. Visitors may also use this website to keep up-to-date with news from the studio and read inspirational articles via my blog. The website also provides the option of signing up for my Newsletter.
What personal data i collect and why i collect it
In order for you to use the Shopping cart, I need to be able to collect your name and e-mail address to make sure that the download links to your digital graphic resources land safely and securely in your e-mail box.
If you subscribe to my Newsletter, I will need to collect your name and e-mail address in order to send you freebies, news from the studio and occasional promotional material. You may unsubscribe any time you wish.
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you visit the login page, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
This site keeps track of visitors in order to provide the best possible browsing and shopping experience. The analytics are also used to combat spam and unwanted bots.
Who we share your data with
No data on this website is shared with anyone other than the website creator, Lesley Smitheringale.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). I, Lesley Smitheringale, am the only person who can see and edit that information.
